Surrendering your pet
Making the decision to surrender a pet is never easy, and we approach every request with compassion and understanding. Our rescue’s priority is to ensure each dog in our care receives the time, attention, medical treatment, and placement they deserve. Due to limited foster homes, space, and resources, we are unable to accept every surrender request. If you are considering surrendering your dog, please complete our surrender request form so we can learn more about your situation and your dog’s needs. Submitting a form does not guarantee intake, but it allows us to determine whether we are able to help or provide referrals to other resources that may be available. Our goal is always to do what is in the best interest of the dog.
Surrender Fees
Surrender fees are a necessary part of ensuring we can continue providing responsible, lifesaving care to the dogs who come into our rescue. When a dog is surrendered, we immediately take on all costs associated with their care, including veterinary exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, food, supplies, and any medical treatment they may need. The surrender fee helps offset a small portion of these expenses and allows us to stretch our limited resources to help as many dogs as possible. As a nonprofit, we rely heavily on donations and volunteer support, and this fee helps ensure that each dog receives proper care while also encouraging thoughtful, responsible surrender decisions that prioritize the dog’s well being.
